Anouchka Grose

Anouchka Grose

An alternative Eat, Pray, Love for the polycrisis. Leading psychotherapist Anouchka Grose discusses her new book, The Revolution Will Be Internalised, and ‘inner prepping’ – a form of civil resistance that is an exhilarating, funny, erudite and ultimately uplifting tour of the practices Anouchka tried out in order to revolutionise how we live in our world, including ego-dismantling retreats, animal communication, and tantra. She will be talking to Anna Whitwham, whose recent book, Soft Tissue Damage, tells the story of her lifelong interest in boxing, manifesting itself in the physical act of getting into the ring to fight, and the transformative impact the sport has on her during a profoundly difficult period dealing with the grief of losing her mother to cancer.

Anouchka Grose is a psychoanalyst, writer, lecturer and climate campaigner. Her books include A Guide to Eco-Anxiety; Uneasy Listening; Fashion: a Manifesto; Hysteria Today; and From Anxiety to Zoolander. She has contributed to the Guardian, Granta, Harpers Bazaar, and Radio 4.

Anna Whitwham is the author of Boxer Handsome (2014) and Soft Tissue Damage (2025). She teaches creative writing at Royal Holloway, University of London.
