Award-winning author and screenwriter David Whitehouse will be in conversation about his latest book, Saltwater Mansions, a compulsive mix of true crime, memoir and reportage that explores the extraordinary hidden lives of ordinary people, the impact of grief and the dangerous allure of amateur sleuthing – centring on the mystery of a Margate woman named Caroline Lane who one day completely disappeared, leaving no trace./p>

David Whitehouse has published three novels. In 2022, he published his first non-fiction title, About a Son, which tells the story of the senseless murder of a 20-year-old, based on diaries written by his father.
