Emma Warren & Stef Macbeth

Emma Warren & Stef Macbeth

Why do youth spaces matter – not just for young people but for all of us? Emma Warren, one of the UK’s leading writers on youth culture and music, and the author of the recently published Up the Youth Club, talks with Stef Macbeth, author of Folk, about community, youth, and what happens when the places we call home disappear.

Emma Warren has been documenting grassroots culture for decades. She is the author of Make Some Space (2019), which was a MOJO Book of the Year; Steam Down (2019); and Document Your Culture (2020). Dance Your Way Home (2023) was a Guardian Book of the Year. She has worked on The Face; and her monthly radio show on Worldwide FM ran for six years.

Stef Macbeth is a Berlin based British author, award-winning copywriter, and mixed media storyteller.
